Welcome to Westworld

Working on Westworld taught me everything I needed to know about how to work on a fast-paced, high-profile marketing campaign with an always-on approach.

This massive campaign had the digital content team firing on all cylinders with a lengthy pre-premiere promotional campaign followed by daily in-season content to keep Westworld in the cultural conversation from episode to episode:

  • Interviewed talent and covered screenings and panels at San Diego Comic-Con, Tribeca Festival, and more.

  • Write newsletter, social, voice, and website copy for an Emmy-winning transmedia campaign

  • Brainstorm and execute innovative approaches to channel management and content strategy aligned with platform best practices (Reddit AMAs, live tweeting, AR lenses, video distribution, and more)

Transmedia & In-world Copywriting

My team was tasked with sending Westworld fans down a Easter-egg filled rabbit hole with in world newsletters, websites, chatbots, voice experiences, and more. Though the sites are no longer live, here are a few examples of the Season 2 “Chaos Takes Control” experience. I tracked Reddit sentiment (a dedicated thread for the Westworld ARG) and shared with wider marketing team weekly.

Editorial Content

Developed, pitched, and produced the Season 3 content suite and posting strategy. Wrote Webby submission and received a nomination for Social: TV & Film (Video) in 2021.

Season 3 Premiere

We once again teamed up with director Mark Leibowitz to create a custom content capture space for the highly-anticipated Season 3 premiere of Westworld. The sleek, futuristic set blended the high production value of the series with a fresh, social-forward take on red-carpet photos.
