Game of Thrones

The Final Season

I joined HBO as a Digital & Social Media fellow shortly after Season 6 aired. Only in my wildest dreams did I see myself standing on the stage of Radio City Music Hall working the Season 8 world premiere.

It took an army to bring the epic #ForTheThrone campaign to life, but I was on the frontlines (and behind the scenes).

Working on this campaign allowed me to gain experience in social platform strategy, video production, Emmy-nominated VR & AR experiences, newsletters, red-carpet coverage, web content, Alexa voice skills, and more.

It’s All For The Throne…

HBO’s marketing team took on their most ambitious campaign yet with the For The Throne campaign in partnership with Twitter. The four-part campaign included dropping 20 pieces of character art and custom emojis exclusively on Twitter, tapping celebrities for an epic catch-up campaign, sending superfans on a quest for the Iron Throne, and more. This fan-forward approach rallied the rabid fanbase, dominated cultural conversation in the months leading up to the premiere, and came out as one of the most decorated marketing campaigns in HBO’s history.

Season 8 World Premiere

I worked directly with director Mark Leibowitz and a team of photo and video producers to design a GoT-inspired set to film the cast at the Season 8 world premiere at Radio City Music Hall. We redefined how HBO covered tent pole premieres and teamed up again for the premieres of Euphoria and Westworld Season 3. One shoot created one supercut video for YouTube, dozens of cast photos, five Instagram videos, and millions of views across GoT’s +16M social footprint.
